Still, despite all these differing preferences, there are a few things most everyone wants from their dish-washing: We want it to be easy. We want our dish soap to be good for us and our dishes (and ideally it’ll smell good, too). We want to make dish-washing as sustainable as possible. And we want all that without sacrificing the ultimate goal of getting clean dishes. Fortunately for dish-washers everywhere, cleaning your dishes thoroughly (and without harsh chemicals) just got a whole lot easier with the launch of Safely’s new Dish Collection. Available starting October 14, this new line from Safely includes a dish soap, a dish towel, reusable paper towels, and dish brushes in two different sizes and shapes. Just from looking at them, the new Safely items look like nice, pretty cleaning tools you’d be happy to leave next to the sink—and even, maybe, be happy to use when the dirty dishes pile up. Look a little deeper, though, and you’ll notice that the dish soap is made with gentle-on-the-environment ingredients and formulated to be low-sudsing, work in warm and cold water, and work on all dishware, silverware, bakeware, and cookware. Even better, the cleaning tools—the reusable paper towels, the dish towel, and the brushes—are made with organic cotton, birch wood, and palm tree fibers (among other materials) and are designed to be used over and over again, reducing waste without sacrificing cleanliness or cleaning efficiency. The dish towel is highly absorptive, mildew-resistant, and machine-washable (of course). The reusable paper towels are made of cellulose and cotton and designed to replace single-use paper towels (one cloth purportedly replaces 17 rolls of standard paper towels!)—and because they’re dishwasher-safe, you can make them last even longer. And the dish brushes are available in a shorter option with a rounded head—perfect for getting into bakeware crevices—and a longer option with a curved shape that’s perfect for scouring glassware, water bottles, and other long and narrow containers. Both are made with a birch wood handle and tampico and palm tree fiber bristles for effective cleaning that looks good, too. (No more hiding your scrub brushes under the sink!) Beyond their cleaning abilities and long-lasting make, the items in Safely’s new Dish Collection are made with little to no plastic, which just further boosts the positive environmental impact. “Since our launch, our customers have been looking for accessible, thoughtful and clean dish products to accompany their other Safely favorites,” says Jelina Saliu, president of Safely, in a press release announcing the launch. “We are excited to be able to continuously and quickly bring consumers better-for-you home care and personal care products.” Safely launched in 2021 with essential cleaning products made with premium, non-harsh ingredients and high-end fragrances and is co-founded by business mogul Kris Jenner and Emma Grede, the founder and CEO of clothing brand Good American. The five new items range in price from $6 to $15 and are available for purchase from Safely, with plans to be sold in select Bed Bath & Beyond stores in the next few months. Items are available for individual purchase or as part of the Clean Dish Kit, which includes a bottle of dish soap, a dish towel, reusable paper towels, and the tall dish brush.
